LAGI Halifax/Kjipuktuk 2027 shaping a post-carbon future
We’re joining forces with the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) and the Africville Heritage Trust (AHT). We're producing an international design competition to select a work of public art with the capacity to generate clean energy to power Africville.
We'll integrate the best practices of creative placemaking, urban design and civic art into this innovative, renewable energy project.
strandbeest: coming soon
Theo Jansen's extraordinary walking creatures made from PVC pipe are constructed in inspirational workshops and shared publicly, with films about Jansen's inspiration.
solar art murals: coming soon
Solar art murals installed in prominent places will bring powerful artistic and design elements to this public facing, renewable technology and clean energy source.
SALT sessions: coming soon
Think TED talks or Pecha-Kucha. We'll host curated talks/presentations/pitch sessions exploring the intersectionality of public art and climate change.
